In addition to using the front panel, the N5700 and N8700 have three ways to cause the output to go from zero to a non-zero value.
First, software running on an external computer can send commands to set any valid voltage and current.
Second, there is an analog input connection on the rear panel that can cause the output to track the analog voltage input.
Third, there is a remote inhibit that can bring the output to zero when asserted and allows the output to go to the set point when not asserted.
